DUA brings prayer times, the Qibla, the full Quran and an assistant for religious questions into one calm, distraction-free experience, entirely in Azerbaijani. Designed and built end to end with privacy at the center.

What it does
One app for the whole day, rather than four:
- Prayer times — computed from your own coordinates, across 16 calculation methods including a QMİ setting checked against the official Azerbaijani tables.
- Notifications — one per prayer, with 21 sounds to choose from: seven azans and fourteen tones, each previewable in full before you pick it.
- The timetable — Hanafi or Shafi'i Asr, a five- or three-prayer display, and a weekly or monthly table you can export as a PDF.
- Qibla compass — a live true bearing to Mecca with the distance, and a rotating set of facts while you hold it.
- The full Quran — all 114 surahs in Arabic with Azerbaijani translation, and Alafasy recitation that highlights each ayah as it is read.
- DUA AI — an assistant for religious questions, in Azerbaijani, across several conversations and with no account to create.
- Progress that carries — XP, daily streaks, reading and listening positions, and a short knowledge quiz attached to each prayer.
- Islamic calendar — the Hijri date, correctable by hand, alongside the year's holidays.
How it is built
Native SwiftUI for iOS 18+, built around observable state objects for prayer times, the Quran and progress. The prayer astronomy runs through adhan-swift, with every parameter — calculation method, madhab, high-latitude rule — set in one place.
As much as possible stays on the device. Settings, statistics, streaks, reading position and chat history are stored locally, with no accounts and no server-side user data at all. Location, if you grant it, is used on the phone to find your city, compute the times and point the compass.
Two things necessarily leave. Quran text, translation and recitation stream from alquran.cloud and cdn.islamic.network. Assistant messages pass through a Cloudflare Worker that holds the OpenAI key server-side and enforces a daily limit per device — the device is identified by an anonymous token, and nothing else about you is sent.
The privacy stance
No accounts, no advertising, no analytics or tracking SDKs, and nothing sold or shared. A prayer app knows where you are and what you believe; the safest way to hold that is not to collect it.
